or you could disable the videos from the game. it's inside a txt file in config folder. At the bottom it's a section with enable_video, enable video logo( or soemthing like that). If you set them to 0 it does not play the videos anymore.
Anyway the media player 10 package from winetricks should solve the problem
At first I had the same problem, segfault after the rose. Try erasing all Trine config files in the Trine config directory. You can also turn off the video sequences and play around with the physics settings there. Now the game loads but the lighting is kind of odd and perfomance isn't too great as well. :(
