Legacy of Kain: Defiance is the fifth installment of the series. Defiance lets you play as both Kain and Raziel as you return to Nosgoth. Kain, a vampire armed with the Reaver blade, pursues Raziel. Raziel, a devourer of souls armed with the wraith-blade of the Soul Reaver, seeks to get out from the bonds of the Elder God. Kain and Raziel both endeavor their intertwined destinies in Legacy of Kain: Defiance. To follow Defiance you pretty much need to be a follower of the series. If not, there is some hefty catching up reading to do.
