Description
MediaMonkey is a music organizer and player. Unlike many other bloat-ware this is a very focussed application for maintaining large libraries of music. It comes in 2 versions. Basic is free and Gold which adds more functionality. In truth even in Basic mode the functionality far exceeds the competition. One clear advantage is it's ability to sync to Apple devices WITHOUT needing iTunes.
Version 4 is in beta now. This adds videos to the collection and a DNLA server to stream to remote devices. More recent checks have shown that this runs under Wine as well as the version 3. Mac OS X Wineskin works as well.
