Adobe InDesign is a desktop design/publishing application designed for Windows XP and Mac OS X. It allows users to create and modify page layouts for any type of print publication. Newer versions integrate with Adobe Creative Suite to combine the utility of InDesign with the photo editing capabilities of Adobe Photoshop, among other programs. InDesign can read and write files belonging to Adobe PageMaker, its predecessor, and is also backwards-compatible from version 3.0 (CS).
