Academy of Feng Shui is an application which assists in the calculations used in Feng Shui practice. Feng Shui is the art of judging and modifying a building to support its inhabitants and workers. This application is filed under astronomy because Chinese date-based calculations are used. This application does the calculations, and process floormaps graphically.
Guide is a full-featured star charting and desktop planetarium program. It generates charts ranging in size from a full hemisphere (180 degrees) down to one arcsecond, showing an extensive variety of celestial objects. Most people use it for making finder charts for use at the telescope, so it provides a lot of features for selecting how a chart should be drawn. For example, observers of variable stars might want all variables and suspected variables shown, but no galaxies and nebulae and asteroids only down to magnitude 13. With Guide, customizing and printing such charts is very easy to do.
This application is shipped with the Meade GOTO telescopes. Various models. It has a home planetarium, image processing for meade LPI and deep sky astronomical imagers, control and updating of telescope integral computers, updating of telescope firmware.

Nova for Windows has become the most popular Windows-based satellite tracking program in the world. In use by NASA, the U.S. Air Force, industry, and thousands of amateur radio operators, Nova sets the standard for excellence.
The software informs owners of telescopes of their location to be covered by the shadow of an asteroid of some star other than our sun. I volunteering to stay up that night, and with good seeing conditions, reports on the exact (!) timing of the begin and end of the star's intensity drop are collected. That data gives information on the length of the asteroid, and when combined with additional observations from other locations, in analogy to how scanners take images from passing sheets of paper, it allows for computing the complete shape of the asteroid.
Orbitron is a satellite tracking system for radio amateur and observing purposes. It's also used by weather professionals, satellite communication users, astronomers, UFO hobbyist and even astrologers.
SkyGlobe is a planetarium for your computer. It shows approx. 29,000 stars, constellations, planets, Messier objects and much more as they would appear in the sky at about 230 locations around the world, and at any date and time for thousands of years into the past and future.
SkyMap Pro is a powerful and flexible astronomical companion for your computer, giving you easy access to information which was only available to a select group of professional astronomers a few short years ago. SkyMap combines sophisticated planetarium and map-drawing capabilities with the ability to easily display detailed information on many millions of different objects - stars, planets, galaxies, nebulae, and so on.
This freeware program can display the stars as seen at any time in history, any place in the world (some predefined places, or latitude / longitude). The site listed above also has plug-ins for various astronomical catalogues, celestial objects and sun and moon eclipses.
Virtual Moon Atlas (VMA) is a program that exists as several different programs which run at different levels of sophistication. It comes in Light, Basic, Expert, and Pro. I have tested Light, Basic, and Expert. Pro weighs in at about 500 MB, while all 3 of the lighter versions can be downloaded in the Expert version at 14 MB.
