Well it runs, but it might crash on some things.
Install instructions:
I used recent 1.1.43 vestion Wine
1)Get winetricks
wget http://www.kegel.com/wine/winetricks
2)Install some stuff with winetricks
sh winetricks corefonts dotnet20 gecko msxml3 vcrun2003 mdac28
3)Go to the install DVD and wine setup.exe
4)When selecting what you want to install, uncheck Vault. Otherwise it will crash on startup.
5)Install
6)Use winetricks again
sh winetricks gdiplus
7)Create launcher
The setup should create shortcut on your desktop if not create a launcher manually (Type: Application ; Command: env WINEPREFIX="/home/EnterYourUserNameHere/.wine" wine "C:\Program Files\AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008\acad.exe")
8)Run and pray! :D
Do not use Wine 1.1.12 because in this version there is a regression which prevents successful install of .NET Framework 2.0 resulting in AutoCAD setup failure.
Do not use Wine 1.1.19 because in this version there is a
regression which causes toolbars to be mis-sized.
Do not use Wine 1.1.34 because in this version there is a
regression which prevents successful install.
Do not use Wine 1.3.8 because in this version there is a
regression which prevents successful install.
Do not use Wine 1.3.18 and 1.3.19 because in this versions there is a
regression which prevents successful install.
Do not use Wine from 1.5.10 to 1.5.12 because in this versions there is a
regression which prevents successful install.
