F8 pro install broken
by tom kirby on Tuesday October 2nd 2012, 0:01
I've been using Flash 8 pro on my Fedora 17 machine now for a few months without any issues. Today I did a few updates then loaded a file I'd been working on. Once loaded, everything looked fine but now objects don't appear when being moved. For example, when drawing a square, I cannot see the square until I release the mouse button. When grabbing the corner of the square, nothing changes until I release the mouse button. When dragging the square, it stays on the stage where it was until I release the mouse button. You get the idea. This install is now unusable unless I can figure out what update corrupted it. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling both Wine and Flash 8 Pro. No luck.

Writing text is slow
by Iqbal Ali on Wednesday October 13th 2010, 13:08
I am using Wine 1.3.4 and have installed Macromedia Flash Pro 8 on Ubuntu 10.04. Everything works well, except text input is slow. So slow that some characters are not captured.
