What works
-Installation. Output from running 'Installer MPL3D Solar System - Starfield Tech Demo.exe' under Wine gives some fixmes and errors, then exits without a prompt, but it leaves a new subdirectory called 'Installer MPL3D Solar System - Starfield Tech Demo', where one can find and install using msiexec /i MPL3D\ Solar\ System\ -\ Starfield\ Tech\ Demo.msi without errors.
What does not
-Starting the demo. The demo needed d3dx9_30.dll, but after providing it quits with unhandled exception: page fault on read access to 0x0ace8920 in 32-bit code (0x7e721db1).
