Installation

To install dxdiag, type

wget http://kegel.com/wine/winetricks
sh winetricks directx9

or

wget http://winezeug.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/winetricks-alpha
sh winetricks-alpha dxdiag

in a terminal.

To run dxdiag, type "wine dxdiag" in a terminal.


 
ATI Cards
I have found that this may or may not work with ATI cards due to incomplete drivers.

 
ATTENTION
I highly recommend making a wine prefix just for this program because it can from my experience hose any current prefix it is installed into.

Not using builtin DLLs

Running "winetricks directx9" overrides all the builtin DLLs, a better test would be to run it with the builtin DLLs.
