Actually it was fairly simple. You use winetricks to install ffdshow. This installs necessary codecs for the movies to play. You also have to use native quartz.dll.
DIB Engine helps a LOT.
Yes, really. The game runs smoothly with wine patched with DIB Engine and WINEDIB=on.
Fast skipping finally becomes _really_fast. No slowdowns in the options menu. Great.

All you gotta do is erase the 2 video files in the install folder and after a few errors messeges the game starts up.... you can just watch the vids before you play the game....

The game is slow - probably (as many others of this type) due to the whole "device independent bitmaps" problem.
No sound - this is not a wine bug, this is a developer's bug; it seems that all g-collections games reject (in windows) imaadp32.acm from SP2 if it's not English version of the driver or at least :
following version works
5.1.2600.0 (xpclient.010817-1148) English (US)
this version does not
5.1.2600.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158) Polish (PL)
As I haven't seen 5.1.2600.2180 (US) I'm not 100% it's the language check that breaks things, but it does seem this way, cause earlier English versions work.
