Additional Comments
To get this to work, I had to manually install the Wine Gecko engine using the instructions here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=634464
Download the Mobipocket Reader msi file from their main site using your normal (linux-native) browser, then use the "wine msiexec /i filename.msi" command to install it.
To read an ebook, you'll need to manually download it and put it in the "MyEbooks" folder the Reader will create inside your home folder. Once it's in there, it should show up the next time you start the Reader.
A note: I found the Reader locked up sometimes, till I stopped trying to read a book as soon as the program started up. Instead, I found that if I click on "Reading Devices," then "Ebook store" then "Ebooks," before selecting the book I want to read, it'll open the book fine without crashing. I don't know why this works, but it seems to.
