READ THIS FIRST
This will solve a lot of your problems. Copy/paste your entire ZSNES directory to the Wine C:\ drive, usually /home/username/.wine/drive_c. Replace username with the name you use to log in to Linux. This way, it will be able to find your ROM directory more easily, and should help with some of the more common problems.

if you run into slow play

well ... to "fix" this problem, simply make out a few simple steps within the emulator

1 - Change the window mode to full screen mode

2 - That should be all you need to change ... but if it happens like me (which freezes KDE when I leave the zsnes) you just have to change the resolution of the program and thus avoid using the zsnes normally ...
