All of this applies to the athena version of wintotal only. I have not tried aurora. I went about installing the same way I always do since my first install on windows. Which is to say, I copied the whole win2000 directory over. I then attempted to run the program, which then walks you through the setup.
I was able to get all the way through the setup, however once I try and open the appraisal desktop it has an error with vbajet.dll and vbajet32.dll. After grabbing the native dll's off my windows partition I was able to get the appdesk up.
However, as soon as the appraisal desktop comes up I get the following error:
"The Following error was encountered while loading the grid config file 5 : Invalid procedure call or argument."
After clicking okay, I can see all of my files, and after attaching a directory I'm able to import files into wintotal. It appears that you can create a file, and therefore you can likely clone a file as well. I was also able to rebuild the report list.
What does not
I was unable to get a file to open by double clicking on it. Trying to open a file in this manner (or opening up wintotal.exe manually) will result in the following error:
"Run-time error '91':
Object variable or With block variable not set"
What was not tested
Anything that required having a report open.
I also did not test registering and unregistering sketching software or exporting files, though I suspect both would work.

I am an appraiser and have been trying to get this to work for a while now.
Arurora, the current verison of the software requires MSDE which does not currently run under linux.
Athena, the old version does not use this and will likely work but I have not tested it yet.
