To begin the installation, i had to deselect XvidCodec and DirectX 9.1c.
Then i laid a avifil32.dll into the system32 folder and overwrote avifil32 in winecfg.
Next, i installed ffdshow and the frauenhofer Codec and deactivated winemp3.acm in winecfg.
Further, i selected in winecfg alsa full Hardware acceleration: That is for sound in videos, but i had same stability problems: During the whole game i had five crashes, at the begin after the scene in the plane, there was a permanent repeated crash.
When i used alsa emulation, or oss, the game is stable and i had no crashes during the whole game:
In the game directory is a folder named tmp, there can you play the videos with sound and any trouble.

I don't know whether it works or not, because I must download it at first, but the Engine knows the command -gl, that could improve the compatibility...
