The 1.2 patch is the second patch released for Dawn of War: Dark Crusade. It contains major balancing changes. The tech trees of all races have had minor overhauls.
Selected Test Results (selected in 'Test Results' table below)
What works
Everything so far.
What does not
Still there is an issue with mouse grabbing when cursor is close to window edge in window mode, and changing ingame sound quality turns off the sound (restart of game is required).
What was not tested
Multiplayer but probably works.
Additional Comments
Since last test much of regression is gone. Graphics has no more any glitches. However sometimes when there is much explosions game works a little bit less smoother than while playing via windows.
You need to play in full screen mode, due to crappy mouse grabbing when trying to scroll map and if sound quality is changed, you need to restart game. If you have issue with resolution try changing color depth (for example I couldn't properly set 1900x1200 32bit full screen but 1900x1200 16 bit works like charm).
I would say platinum this time, there is a place for improvement. But ordinary user probably wouldn't care.
Admin note: rating changed to conform to the rating definitions.
1. Cursor is in grey square
2. Cursor does not stick inside the wine wine/game window
3. After a successful game or I quit a game, the stats screen should appear, but all I get is black screen and I need to shut wine down. I can still hear the music but thats all.
Things I've tried.
1. Check emulate a virtual desktop
2. Check the "Allow Directx apps to stop mouse leaving tjeir window"
3. Vertex Shader support: hardware
4. Check allow pixel shader
5. Turned off compiz
6. Also tried the latest wine stable (1.0.1 I think), wine 1.1.14 and a number of others but I can't remember exactly, with the same result.
Below is what I get when the black screen occurs. This repeats indefinately until I shut the wine window down.
