What works
Installation went without any issues.
Legacy Charting and Legacy Family Tree both work without major problems.
PDF creation worked for printing reports.
Printing worked well.
Importing and exporting gedcom with no issues
Opening and editing existing files.
Version tested: Deluxe
What does not
Name List and Marriage List have issues with some boxes being blacked out. However if you scroll down it does show as you highlight the row.
Mapping feature does not work. Attempting to use it crashed the program.
Do need to install PDF software on Wine or select not to open at the time of creation.
What was not tested
Geo database was not installed so not tested.
Additional Comments
Do make sure that your desktop is set to 1024x768 as the window once it runs will be forced to the edge of the virtual desktop preventing you from completing the setup once you open the program itself.

What doesn't work
Legacy home tab, Legacy News
Forward, back, refresh, home navigation buttons crash with Run Time Error 445.
So does option to check internet.
Research Guidance fails when Internet navigation buttons are used.
Checkmarks do not show when choosing timeline events.
Help system navigation. The Index is blank, the search has no entry box, and the favorites is blank.
Fonts on many screens are too small. They can often be set by Options/Zoom, but the default minimum font size set in Customize/Fonts is not observed.
Chronology view cuts off some text on the left.
Create PDF in reports does not work. No text is put in the document. The work around is to install a cups-pdf virtual printer and print to that.
Could not download geographic information files using Legacy, but I downloaded using ubuntu, copied to wine c:\Legacy\Geo folder, then imported. Seemed to go OK.
When notes are entered either by directly typing or by cut and paste, extra characters are added (zeros) and some of the text is underlined. This happens when the note is saved. Removing the underlines and re-saving causes the problems to return. Correcting the text and writing to a file gives the corrected text, but only if the note has not been saved in Legacy.
Map functions do not work, either Map My Family, or map function of the Master Location List.
Internet search did not work. Probably did not pass the correct information to the web page.
I tried installing a version of MS Internet Explorer, but only managed to break the Legacy install.

Following further tests i have just done with reports and books, it appears that pictures are not showing / printed on these, though the space needed for each pictures is preserved on the page. (Ubuntu 10.04 here, wine 1.2)
