some tips...
by Zorglub on Thursday August 28th 2008, 16:44
It's not easy to make it work.

I tried moving all the files from a windows installation of lively to the plugins directory of my installed firefox (windows version). the about:plugins page shows "Lively Plugin". looks great...

After going back to the lively page, it says it requires the activeX control for flash 9 (the IE version should be installed). I used winetricks to install flash and its activeX control.

I also installed msxml3 and added the msxml3 dll to the native libs.

After that, I've got it working. it asks for the account login and password and then for the desired ID.

Then the login process failed with a "Chat login timed out" message :(
I hope it's only a connection problem tonight.

If someone has better luck or other tips to make it work, please share ;)
