NoteTab Pro is 29.95. Individuals may install on
several machines for that price and there are quantity discounts for commercial users. It's been worth every penny.
Adds a spell checker and thesaurus, also syntax highlighting for HTML and Clipcode.
Old test results
The test results for this version are very old, and as such they may not represent the current state of Wine. Please consider submitting a new test report.

What works
Installs fine, most things work as expected.
What does not
On the Library Bar - When it is clicked it closes the clipbook. The workaround is to click and drag off the desired library. This happens on all NoteTab Light, Standard, and Pro. This happens on all distributions of Linux.
When it is minimized and then restored, a second "title bar" appers. The Developer says that this is because the application is written in Delphi. This also occurred on an earlier version of Wine, but was resolved with Wine 1.0.0. This happens on all distributions of Linux.
The issue with the flashing cursor not being in the position of the actual cursor at the bottom of the page is still there. When enter is pressed a new line is added, but the cursor does not appear to moved. This is an issu that only affects Pro.
There is also an issue, that has occured previously and not been reported. Using CTRL+TAB or CTRL+SHIFT+TAB to move forwards or backwards through the document tabs works, but there is a flashing of the screen. If the user click the desired tab, there is no flashing.
What was not tested
Full regression testing was not done.
Additional Comments
The rating of platinum is as per the "Rating Definitions", Platinum means it runs without having to tweak winecfg. This does not mean NO problems.
I have the best success with Wine if I uninstall the old version of Wine before installing the new version.
I
keep a copy of the install for the version that I know works, so if the
new version of Wine introduces new issues, I can easily roll back to a
working configuration.
All the user settings are unaffected by uninstalling Wine. All user settings are kept under /home/username/.wine.
If
you want to try a completely new install of NoteTab or any other
Windows program and preserve your settings, you can rename the .wine
directory in your user directory. There have been no issues that have
required this for a couple of years.
No special settings have been required to get NoteTab Pro to work.
I have been a NoteTab beta tester for years, see Help. I also have a page of my efforts of testing NoteTab Pro on Linux:
www.kairoscomputers.com/notetab/NoteTabLinuxAnalysis.php
I also have a page with older posts on the NoteTab lists:

I look forward to improving Wine support for all versions of NoteTab.
