What works
Nothing -- the program would not even install.
What does not
Installation. Double clicking on the icon did nothing; manually calling for install from the Terminal resulted in a failure (see bug reports).

Has anyone tried installing Zune on a windows system then importing it to wine? This would at least get us past the installation, then you could just import all the installed registry files over to wine, I got spore to work for me under wine by doing this.
I'm going to give it a try when I get home tonight, but if this would be a waste of time by all means let me know :p
