What works
The install basically works, although on the first attempt it wasn't possible to enter the serial number information and hence impossible to proceed. Why this should have happened was never understood and the problem didn't recur during subsequent installations.
Basic drawing functions seem to be fine. Redraw and zoom were smooth and fast.
When the software initially opens part of the window is off the screen; clicking the window's full-screen icon causes the window to resize and then everything fits on the screen as it should.
File open.
What does not
Help facilities require a working Internet Explorer. File selection dialogue boxes must be operated using the mouse because keyboard operation doesn't work.
What was not tested
Pretty much everything since this is a very complicated piece of software.
Additional Comments
Rated bronze because help facilities not available and for occasional users these are likely to be important to remind them of the commands.
The Wine version was the OpenSuSE 1.1.5 version downloaded from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Emulators:/Wine/openSUSE_10.2/ and pretending to be Windows 2000. No additional DLLs were installed.
