What works

The installer will initialise.  Installation fails because there is an error with the install directory that states "unable to install in 64-bit directory."  That is as far as I got.

This is for MultiSim 11.0.1 from cd.

What does not
Nothing works.

What was not tested
Nothing works.

Additional Comments

Another poster had workaround of removing from a working xp installation. I am installing on VirtualBox 4.1.0 with xp right now. I will try to move the installation and re-evaluate with Wine when it is finished.

Keep up the great work,
Mark

What libs are needed?
by Ruslan on Monday November 22nd 2010, 13:44
Could someone please list all the steps needed to make multisim work?

I've installed vcrun2003, dcom98, jet40, copied niini32.dll, but all i get is splash screen, which then immediately closes and program quits (that's on wine1.2, while on wine1.3 it just segfaults with and without the libs i named).
And, BTW, has anyone any success with latest wine at all?

Everything works fine, except help, ie you can view the help file but you can't search and see images.

Also, toolbars might be messed up but you can easily reconfigure it to your likings.

You also have to copy registry from your windows install in order to install licenses and for other things to work.

Also jet database must be installed(winetricks).
