Font/button help!
by Paul Rounsavall on Tuesday October 26th 2010, 19:40
I am running Quicken 2009 Deluxe on my Debian server. Everything works great, except for Quicken is missing some buttons (like "Accept All" and "Done" on bottom when using one-step update. Also, the text on some buttons, like cancel and okay from the backup dialog box, are missing. Please help! Thanks.

Quicken 2009 Registration Workaround
by Jim Fentress on Wednesday July 28th 2010, 13:56
I tried the Ctrl-Shift workaround suggested elsewhere and it worked with my Wine 1.4.2 and Q2009 Premiere. Specifically, I first cancelled the installation's registration step, and instead used the Quicken Online Update menu. I held Ctrl and Shift, then selected the One-Step Update menu item. Quicken then said "... will no longer suggest registration", and my one-step updates work fine.

Quicken Deluxe 2009 R3
by Larry Hodes on Tuesday January 13th 2009, 16:24
To eliminate registration nags, while holding CTRL+Shift press "One Step Updates" (or reportedly "Update Transactions"). Without doing this, you can't get to online updates. I had already registered my WinXP installation of Q 2009, but that shouldn't matter.

"One step updates" (from multiple financial institutions) and "Download quotes" both worked, very slowly compared to Quicken Deluxe 2006 or under WinXP, but they worked.

Screen writing was very slow, requiring you to wait for multiple passes for full rendering--be patient.

I'm really pleased not to have to reboot into Windows to use my Quicken.
