Use a windows native ole32.dll to make the chat faces work. Which breaks Wine audio completely.
Install rich edit overrides to make the chat scroll down when sending text.
Install Quartz override to prevent errors you see in terminal.

Como mi amigo James menciona,
Solución #1
Entras [CONTROL PANEL] luego a [CHAT] escribes un nick cualquiera , cierras el Ares y lo vuelves abrir. Tarda alrededor de unos 5 minutos en conectar. Talvez tengas que apagar la computadora.

James, I put Ares(version from the official site) in other computer with a brand new Ubuntu 11.10. Wine version 1.3.28 and ares do not connect. How i can fix this?
