Preview WORKS!

All you need to do is download msvfw32.dll and set it in winecfg to native. It is now fully functional piece of software to edit videos in Linux.

How can we make this work!?
by Stephen Gashler on Monday February 23rd 2009, 10:26
Is there any way to petition programmers to prepare an app for Wine? I've scoured the internet for years for a successful implementation of Sony Vegas on Linux, and I know that I'm only one of hundreds or even thousands who is stuck with Windows only because there's no good video editor on Linux. Please, please, can anyone make Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere fully functional with Wine? If you would like to see this, add your comment. Maybe if there's enough petitions, it will happen.

Audio plugins
by FJA on Tuesday January 6th 2009, 17:16
Now I discovered one more thing, that doesn't work: audio FX plugins. Their registry entries cause the app to hang on splash screen. Without entries, all audio plugins aren't visible and thus not usable.
