Hi all,
I have succesfully installed and played this application with wine 1.0.1 stable following this thread on KMPlayer forum
www.kmplayer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8645&highlight=linux

here the summon:

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Type winecfg to create the .wine folder.

The Wine config window appears. Select Windows 2000 OS. Now, configure audio. In Libraries tab, set "d3d8" to builtin. Close the Wine config by clicking on "OK" button.

Go to /home/*user*/.wine/ and open user.reg

Search for [Software\\Wine\\DllOverrides] section and copy below the following list:

Code:

"d3d8"="builtin"
"d3d9"="builtin"
"d3dim"="native"
"d3drm"="native"
"d3dx8"="native"
"d3dxof"="native"
"dciman32"="native"
"ddrawex"="native"
"devenum"="native"
"dinput"="builtin"
"dinput8"="builtin"
"dmband"="native"
"dmcompos"="native"
"dmime"="native"
"dmloader"="native"
"dmscript"="native"
"dmstyle"="native"
"dmsynth"="native"
"dmusic"="native"
"dmusic32"="native"
"dnsapi"="native"
"dplay"="native"
"dplayx"="native"
"dpnaddr"="native"
"dpnet"="native"
"dpnhpast"="native"
"dpnlobby"="native"
"dsound"="builtin"
"dswave"="native"
"dxdiagn"="native"
"mscoree"="native"
"msdmo"="native"
"qcap"="native"
"quartz"="native"
"streamci"="native"

Save and close user.reg

4. Copy mscoree.dll and streamci.dll from an original Windows installation to /home/*user*/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32.

Working versions are:

mscoree.dll version 1.1.4322.573
streamci.dll version 5.1.2600.0

5. Download DirectX9 november release from [External URL submitted by user - Login required]. Extract it on a new folder.

Go to that folder and execute DXSETUP.EXE

(by double click on it or by using the command wine DXSETUP.EXE).

To test DX installation, go to /home/*user*/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32 and execute dxdiag to test the 2D and 3D).

6. Finally, install KMP with the installer or the zip version (with the installer, we'll get a link in the start menu as shown on the screenshot).

-------------------------------------------------------------------
but it will not open sourced because require MS directx and some original .dlls that I copy to the windows partition :(

however the program runs very good, some freeze with particular videos or codec ^____^
