- Installation

- Showing initial information WEB-page

- Creation and opening of new model (but not opening any diagram ..)

- Basic application GUI (after just opening EA)


 


What does not

- Opening example model

- Opening a diagram in a newly created model

- Graphic garbage in Open File dialogue


What was not tested
No point in testing more since the application is (unfortunately) not usable with wine 1.1.23 (even though SparxSystem , The makers of EA, claims it works under Wine.

Can be installed but it does not work well enough to be usable.

Improve Diagram Drawing Speed
If EA slows down after opening a diagram.

Try changing the renderer type to "Basic"
The "Renderer" option can be found under
Tools -> Option - Diagram -> Appearance.

(This appears to be an issue with certain XOrg versions)

 
WARNING - Requires msxml4

The builtin msxml4 isn't good enough to support Enterprise Architect.

You must install msxml4 via winetricks

EA should definitely be in the Programming/Software Engineering section as this is typical CASE tool.
