What works

Program crashes during installation, but installation completes when running it again in 'repair' mode. Registration process completes successfully and main application window opens.


What does not

Application crashes in attempt to create a project or open an existing one. Also, images are not shown in EA help and links are not clickable there.

Improve Diagram Drawing Speed
If EA slows down after opening a diagram.

Try changing the renderer type to "Basic"
The "Renderer" option can be found under
Tools -> Option - Diagram -> Appearance.

(This appears to be an issue with certain XOrg versions)

 
WARNING - Requires msxml4

The builtin msxml4 isn't good enough to support Enterprise Architect.

You must install msxml4 via winetricks

EA should definitely be in the Programming/Software Engineering section as this is typical CASE tool.
