I've only played 10 seconds into the game, but graphics seem fine, sound works, characters move when you click on a spot on the screen, etc.

Another reviewer mentioned that you need to set the windows version to Vista to make this work; that's what I'm doing.
An up to date version of wine is necessary to make this work. With the default Ubuntu download I got an error (I think related to Compiz which was running at the same time.) See: http://www.winehq.org/download/deb for their repository
When exiting the game, compiz was really slow, but I switched to metacity (metacity --replace &) and back to compiz (compiz --replace &) and things seem fine now. I have a T61 btw. I did not need to install any Securom patch
