No sound again
by Jonas on Saturday August 6th 2011, 11:23
Ok.. Seems that I was just in a load of luck when I created my test results.

The no sound issues came back, but first after playing a lot of levels.
At the title screen the sound works perfectly though, even though I might tab to other windows etc. More or less I have to restart the game before I start a new level.

The game along with wine also suffers from bad speeds and a lot of lag. Probably because you have to disable 3D acceleration, as the game won't run properly at all if you use the 3D acceleration. Mouse get's stuck among other things.

Also, sometimes when you alt+tab or click outside the window (I run the game in windowed mode) the game won't pause automatically.

Anyhow it runs decent enough to play through it, at least this far into the game. I'm currently at level 4-4, and I have also played the mini games this far.

No crashes, besides the sound. And a bit of bad performance. Otherwise it works just fine.

The DSOUND option in the library settings only seem to help a little bit (if at all) in other words.

Does not install properly
by Mike Freeman on Tuesday March 9th 2010, 2:38
I've tried this with both WINE 1.0.1 (which is said to run the installer perfectly), and WINE 1.1.40. Both give me the following errors:

Immediately upon running, I get

"Cannot read access control list. Error code: 1400"

After closing that error message, it seems to install the rest of the way through, but then I get this message:

"The game is not properly installed. Please reinstall."

Any subsequent reinstall goes exactly the same way, and any attempts to run the game display this last error message again.
