Try installing the Indeo Video codecs
by Wesley Lance on Monday May 31st 2010, 16:47
I remember having to install those on every machine I used since Win98 because the game required them. The codecs were stripped from Windows after a "fight" between Indeo Video Tech and Microshaft. Anyway, thought that might help!

Dont forget to install DirectX as well!

Strange...
by Cyr4x on Friday June 5th 2009, 20:42
Game installed from Risk II iso with no-cd crack 1.01e works for me. Even if it's no-cd, the cd must be present. I just mount iso with acetoneiso2 and configure this folder as a cd-rom in wine. Wine version 1.22.

Everything goes fine, but there's a one very strange issue. When i click circle Quit button (right-bottom corner) after winning a mission (or being defeated), game crashes and logs me out from Gnome!

Works!

Risk II v1.01e runs just fine on wine-0.9.56 with the proper NoCD crack for version v1.01e. Regarding the invisible mouse cursor: Press Alt-C and it should appear. At least it does so on my system :)
