Camera Rotation
by L0stTh0ught on Wednesday January 30th 2013, 15:08
Maybe I'm just weird, but with 12.10 Quantal every time I press the alt key, it brings up the that command bar in the top left. Most of the time I can't see it, but I know it happens because my cursor changes and I'm no long 'in-game'. Is there a way to fix this? or maybe disable the alt key for Ubuntu?

Eastern Front How-To
by Edward on Thursday September 2nd 2010, 8:28
Install EF into your company of heroes directory and then navigate to that directory. This how-to assumes this is a steam install but normal install works too.
Using winetricks (www.kegel.com/wine/winetricks) install mono26 and dotnet20sp1. If .net 2.0 wont install (various issues) install dotnet30 and cancel the install after 2 is installed- before 3 starts installing.
EL_Launcher.exe needs to be run with mono to patch. You will need to run this several times.
$ wine ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Mono-2.6.7/bin/mono.exe ./EF_Launcher.exe
Once EF is up to date you run EF_Launcher with .net to play.
$ wine EF_Launcher
If you have a runtime error when trying to play the game install vcrun2005 from winetricks.
If your CoH is Steam based make sure to have Steam open before you play via EF_Launcher. Once you've patched EF you can add it as a non-Steam game and play it via that.
First time the game runs it will take up to 6 minutes to start running. Just leave it and it'll come good. Each time you open it after it will start normally.
relionline crash, saving in single player cause freeze
by Joif on Saturday October 10th 2009, 13:36
- Debian Squeeze 64 bit
- Wine 1.1.30
When I start the game also RelicOnline (RelicDownloader.exe) starts (like in windows) but after few seconds it crashes and a relic pop-up appears to send information about this crash. However the game starts. Also I noticed that in single player campaigns saving cause the freeze of the game and the saved game is unusable (I'm continuing from my windows player profile, 10th mission of the allied campaign). Could someone confirm this issues?
suggestion: because I made a link of the profile directory from windows partition, it is possible that the game doesn't save (and goes in freeze) because wine has no permission to write in the windows partition? how to check that?
Online play?
by David Stenberg on Tuesday September 29th 2009, 1:09
Mike Kaplinskiy seem to be the only one of the reporters to get online play to work (and without any tweaks). Can anyone else verify that you don't are being disconnected from the lobby?
