very good performance
by koki janko on Sunday October 18th 2009, 9:21
I can run it smoothly on
2.26GHz IntelCore2Duo, NVidia 9600m GT(512MB), 4GB RAM
with settings: 1680x1050 and High graphic quality.
Almost no difference between running on Win Vista.
The only problem are player's black foreheads.

can not run
by kaka on Sunday October 4th 2009, 7:10
I'm using ubuntu 9.04 , wine 1.1.30. My laptop can run it in window 7 , but it can't in ubuntu . I run the game and the black screen shows up , nothing happens , I click alt so that the game return to the windowed mode to check wether any magic things occur , but still nothing , I already install the directX by using wine command line . Anyone has the same problem ?

Anti-Aliasing support...
by Treviño on Wednesday September 30th 2009, 13:35
Using wine 1.1.30 it works very well, I'm running on a GeForce 8600m GT with 256mb on-board at 1280x800 with no issues (but to get smoother playing I'm using the "average" quality settings).

The only glitches I've found are in menus, as already stated, and the "black players' forehead" bug that was also present with the previous PES versions.

Then I tried to enable the Antialiasing in game...
Due to the fact that, according to this mail [1], it isn't yet available for Direct3D games when using FBO, I had to use the "backbuffer" rendering mode (I didn't notice any performance change) and then forcing the AA using nvidia-settings override or exporting the __GL_FSAA_MODE environment variable (I've set it to 5).

So I've switched to the opengl DirectDraw renderer (since it should be faster and it seems to work well here).

So here's my registry configuration when it comes to Direct3D

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Direct3D]
"DirectDrawRenderer"="opengl"
"Multisampling"="enabled"
"OffscreenRenderingMode"="backbuffer"

I just hope that also the full game will work...

PS: I've not tried it in Windows, but the game shouldn't play music while on menus (not just SFXs)? Cause I can't heard anything but the effects.
