The Dictionary! It work on start, but after a two-three searches it stops. However, you can try it from the Encarta main application inside, which is more compatible.

Additional Comments
1) Do not open as an opengl (do not add "-opengl" suffix in the link)
2) Start 'Configure Wine', and press 'Add Application', go to the installation folder, e.g., 'C:\Program Files\Britannica 9.0\Student and Home Edition' -- click on "starter.exe", and then press 'OPEN'. This will add 'starter.exe' open for configuration.
3) Make sure you've clicked 'starter.exe', switch to 'Graphics' and make sure you check these options:
+ Allow DirectX apps to stop the mouse leaving their window
+ Allow the window manager to decorate the windows
+ Allow the window manager to control the windows
+ Emulate a virtual desktop (I find 1200x768-screen resolution applicable for virtually all today's monitors.)
Please, also note that you can maximize the application when emulated!
