PCB Design and schematic capture application.
Also included the SPECCTRA shape based autorouter and PSPICE. Version 16.x includes the new Allegro PCB design application. OrCAD layout is still included although deprecated.
Old test results
The test results you have selected are very old and may not represent the current state of Wine.

What works
Orcad Capture CIS seems to work OK after applying the 'place part fix'.
What does not
Orcad Layout works but the drawing is very slow (this might be a video
driver problem). The pads and line endings are garbled. A bug report has been filed (Bug 23409)
When loading a simulation file, the simulation bar doesn't show. When creating a new simulation project, it doesn't allow to create a new simulation profile (Pspice com wrapper error)
Orcad uses 2 extra processes: cdsNameserver and cdsMsgServer. These work but take 100% of the CPU time.
What was not tested
Printing
Additional Comments
IMHO useful after the PSpice COM, CPU usage and garbled drawing problems are fixed.
The OrCAD 16.5 installer requires the system-wide Owner and Organization to be set. To set these fields just open the Wine Configuration (winecfg) and go to the About tab. Once these fields are set then the installer will proceed normally.

Capture works fine here. (16.5)
But pspice fails, giving me an installation error at "New Simulation": I can give a Profile name, but it also requires an Inherit from an existing profile. If I put "non", a pop-up tells me about some incomplete installation; and asks me to run some binaries against the regserver: PSpiceExplorerSrvr.exe, pspice.exe, SimSrvr.exe, simmgr.exe and mrksrvr.exe.
I did all, but no change.
Before I file a bug: how can I uninstall and reinstall?
