PCB Design and schematic capture application.
Also included the SPECCTRA shape based autorouter and PSPICE. Version 16.x includes the new Allegro PCB design application. OrCAD layout is still included although deprecated.
Old test results
The test results you have selected are very old and may not represent the current state of Wine.
Selected Test Results (selected in 'Test Results' table below)
What works
Orcad 16.3 Demo Capture.exe
What does not
Not sure yet.
What was not tested
The demo includes a whole suite of Orcad products, I only tested Capture.exe (the schematic capture tool.)
Additional Comments
This installed and ran without any interaction. I unziped the demo file and ran wine setup.exe. Wine got everything it needed (fonts, .NET framework and stuff like that). I then ran "winefile" and went to the Capture.exe file and launched it. It came up and ran. I was able to open and browse my schematic via it's original .DSN file.
The OrCAD 16.5 installer requires the system-wide Owner and Organization to be set. To set these fields just open the Wine Configuration (winecfg) and go to the About tab. Once these fields are set then the installer will proceed normally.

pspice

Capture works fine here. (16.5)
But pspice fails, giving me an installation error at "New Simulation": I can give a Profile name, but it also requires an Inherit from an existing profile. If I put "non", a pop-up tells me about some incomplete installation; and asks me to run some binaries against the regserver: PSpiceExplorerSrvr.exe, pspice.exe, SimSrvr.exe, simmgr.exe and mrksrvr.exe.
I did all, but no change.
Before I file a bug: how can I uninstall and reinstall?
