What works
The application installs after using winetricks to install .NET 2.0 and the core fonts. The application launches successfully and most operations can be performed.
What does not
Several gui issues remain such as the menu bar not responding to clicks and the inability to automatically install .NET 2.0 from within the QuickBooks installation.
What was not tested
Other functionality that was unavailable as a result of gui issues.
Run installer, choose not to check for critical updates during installation.
Installation will fail. This application does not currently work under Wine.

quickbooks 2010 will not install

I am trying to install quickbooks 2010 with wine 1.2.1 on ubuntu 10.10. I have done a few things with regedit and winetricks and wine config but so far no luck. It seems to have issues with talking to the quickbooks server, possible to get my license key. The quickbooks initial screen comes up and then the install screen but then it just sits there. My latest complaint deals with winsock:
