Maintainers of this version:
Description
SketchUp even more intuitive, added tools for power users, and made it easier to find and share models with the world.

What works
I'm using the PRO version. Not sure if a different appdb should be opened for it. Most functions work, like drawing, saving, loading, texturing, moving camera, changing, shadows, etc.
Exporting to JPG, TIF, PNG works (it doesn't in the non-Pro version) but, you need to give it time. Trying to relaunch an export before previous export is finished seems to cause SU to crash.
Printing directly from SU works in the Pro version.
Overall, the Pro version is better than the non-Pro version because the export to 2D graphics feature works, as does the option of printing in high-def.

What does not
LayOut does not work (see bug 16187 below). This is a shame as it's probably the main reason to switch to Pro. Until this is sorted out, the Pro version will have to stay at a silver rating. It should probably actually get a bronze.
Generating reports (again, this is Pro only I think) does not work - it just bugs, and once you try it then SU will crash soon, though not always straight away.
Sending to LayOut (LayOut crashes)
Interacting with Linux version of Google Earth (it doesn't see it when it's running).

What was not tested
Exporting to AutoCAD files or EPS format

Didn't test to see if it can interact with Google Earth running under Wine.

I need to update my Wine version to see if that solves any problems.

transparency not working for cursor

I confirm. Transparency of cursor does not work. Tested with _both_ radeon and fglrx drivers, results are the same. Sketchup v.8

Problems with Ruby console
by Martin Vuk on Wednesday March 24th 2010, 20:07
The Enter key is not working in ruby console. It worked with previous version. You can type commands into ruby console prompt, but when you press Enter key, nothing happens.

Exported images are black
by Garrett on Wednesday January 20th 2010, 5:14
When I use the "File -> Export -> 2D Graphic..." tool, the images (JPG/BMP/TIF/PNG) are black (actually, only a transparent layer for TIF and PNG). Anyone have any ideas how I could fix this?
I'm running Wine 1.1.31 in Ubuntu 9.1. My graphics card uses an ATI chipset.

White box around mouse pointer
by Jimmie Mayfield on Saturday January 2nd 2010, 14:05
Running:
Sketchup 7.1.6087
Wine version 1.1.35
proprietary ATI fglrx drivers

Mouse pointer has an opaque white background making it basically impossible to do anything accurately. I have another machine running wine 1.1.32 that does not have this problem. The other machine is using the proprietary nvidia drivers so it's possible that this problem is related to the ATI fglrx drivers...
