What works

Don't switch workplaces during the installation
Use custom install instead of express
Map paths to the install and always run with win-paths such as
wine "c:\\Steuer-Spar-Erklärung 2012\\StartCenter.exe"
I had problems with Installs in the default paths - try installing it directly in "C:\"
Install it in "Windows XP" mode - it crashes with "Win 7"
The start-menu link did not work for me
