The test results for this version are very old, and as such they may not represent the current state of Wine. Please consider submitting a new test report.
Selected Test Results (selected in 'Test Results' table below)
What works
Pretty much everything:
Downloading/installing from Steam.
Automated installation of the DirectX redist, Windows Media Runtime and nVIDIA PhysX runtime at the first time the game is launched.
Game launcher/configurator.
The game itself: navigating menus, changing controls, gameplay, e.t.c.
What does not
Enabling "Render glow" in "advanced settings" results in minor render glitches at some places (they're so minor that one might simply do not notice them at all while playing).
No intro video (Frozenbyte logo) and story line cut scenes backgrounds displayed in case Wine's builtin WMP DLLs are used. Fixed by installing WMF redist (bundled with Trine, auto-installed by Steam client on a first launch of the game inside new wineprefix).
Game fails to render anything in case Wine's builtin d3dx9_*.dlls are being used. Could be fixed by installing DirectX redist (bundled with Trine, auto-installed by Steam client on a first game launch inside new wineprefix).
What was not tested
Completing the game, had played for about half an hour specifically for doing this test.
Additional Comments
Giving it "Platinum" rating as Steam auto-install required native DLLs so it "works perfectly out of the box" from the end-user perspective.
System specs:
AMD FX 8120 CPU @3.1GHz, 8GB DDR3 RAM, GeForce GTX 550 Ti GPU with 1GB VRAM, nVIDIA Binary Driver v.275.09.07, linux kernel 2.6.41.10-3.lx2.fclx2.i686.PAE (it is kernel 3.1.10 which had been rebranded by Fedora devs to version 2.6.41.10).

Trine not starting

Hi,
I tried running Trine (Steam version) with both Wine 1.2.2 and 1.3.13, but it keeps crashing when I click the Launch button in its launcher. Navigating through the launcher works fine, but as soon as I want to launch the game, I'm being returned to Steam, getting the following message on my terminal:
