Mouse problems

MouseWarpOverride is not working with dinput8.dll from directx. So application cannot grab mouse => game unplayable (but performance is very good even on ultra-high settings).
Using wine's implementation of dinput8 causes grave performance issues, making game unplayable too.
I'm using xorg 1.12, nvidia GTS 450 with latest drivers. That behavior exists at least with wine versions 1.2.3, 1.3.25, 1.4, 1.5, 1.5.1.

Hello,
I am unable start new game, even when I turned off motion blur (to be honest, I never turned it on).
Ati 5750, Xubu 11.10 64.
Can someone help me please?
Doesn't start anymore

I'm using Wine 1.3.2 on Ubuntu 10.04.
The installation didn't work for me so I just copied it over from a Windows volume. It worked all nice & smooth, I created a character, played for a while, saved the game then exited. But after this the game would always crash after the "Press Any Key" screen with this message:
General protection fault!
History: Address = 0x7b837d52 (filename not found) [in C:\windows\system32\KERNEL32.dll]
Address = 6d349dc8 (filename not found) [in C:\windows\system32\msvcr80.dll]
Address = 6d3464d9 (filename not found) [in C:\windows\system32\msvcr80.dll]
It seems that the game only runs if there are no savegame files made.
I should also probably mention that I did have the mouse issue.
Intro video freeze

I did all the stuff to fix the mouse problem (installing directx9, using native dinput8, patching wine...), but for me the intro video (after you created your character...) just freezes with the first frame. I can hear the music playing, but nothing moves (and noone starts talking, I guess that's what should happen in that movie...).

I'm using wine-1.2-rc5 on Gentoo 64bit system.
Installed the game, pached.
A temporary solution for mouse problem, is:
Go to [Install dir]/Mass Effect/BioGame/Config
Edit the file DefaultInput.ini
Set the variables:
MoveForwardSpeed and MoveStrafeSpeed to higher value.
I setted them to 4800, and the game is playeble. It's not the true solution, but at least it's playable.
