Download Ubisoft games with UPlay

Achiements (since AC Revelations)
What does not
The game does not works when you click in the Play button. The game is
in your process but does not appear. Hopefully, the game works when you
can launch it in the Safe Mode (in this mode, the online server and
multiplayer work).
On Windows, I can play AC2 on max details and AC Brotherhood on high.
But I don't want to use Windows to play my favorite game :/
On Ubuntu, the game don't use all four cores, but only one.
This happen to all games, which I want to play in Wine.
I tested run it in Wine 1.2.2, 1.3.7, 1.3.26 and 1.4rc6, still same problem.
Please help me.
White screen-solved
by Yevgen Usatenko on Tuesday March 6th 2012, 14:15
I have Pentium Dual Core, Geforce 7600GT. I installed AC and AC2 DirectX feb 2010 and winetricks. In winetricks change settings ddr=opengl glsl=disabled orm=backbuffer. It runs a bit slower because of my video but it runs.I made also tricks with dx36.dll in AC and tryed not to install DirectX 9, but only when I changed the settings in winetricks everything started running good.

Really slow
by Kalinda on Tuesday January 3rd 2012, 22:37
Hello,
I got the game to load up just fine, but the frame rate is really terrible so everything moves so slowly. I turned down all the graphics and lowered the resolution, but it's still slooooow.
My specs:
Running Arch Linux with KDE4 (turning desktop effects off makes no difference)
Intel Core2Duo 2.93 GHz
4 gigs DDR2 RAM
Nvidia 8500 GT (I think I have 256 megs video memory)
I checked and this should be fine enough to run the game. I'm sure it'd work fine if I installed Windows (ugh), but does anyone have any ideas on how to make it work better here?

Camera with Xbox360 pad
by adam on Monday December 27th 2010, 12:25
Ubuntu 10.10 64 bit, wine 1.3.10, Nvidia Engt 220 with 1gb video memory, 4gb ram and Intel Core2 Quad CPU 2.4 GHz
It works (but not full speed) and it detects my Xbox360 pad, but the camera doensn't work (it just turns around my character even if I do nothing and I can't control it). If I set another button than the right stick to move the camera, its ok but not good for gameplay. I don't understand why it doesn't work because the right stick of my pad works correctly. Can someone help me please?

Jerky Camera movement with mouse
by Florian on Thursday August 19th 2010, 13:21
Assassin's Creed 2 is running quite fine so far!
But one thing that makes the game hard to play is the camera movement with the mouse. If you use the mouse to turn the camera it rather jumps and is not smooth at all. Turning it around with the arrow keys is smooth but not good for the gameplay experience.
Can someone confirm?
installated fine, but...
by Oberon on Saturday August 14th 2010, 17:44
The installation went swimmingly, update went fine. Installed the PoP local server "patch" and the game starts just fine. However, I have no mouse control and no keyboard. Can't hit enter or move the mouse. Have to kill the process. The keyboard and mouse work, there's just no response in game. Anyone else seen this?
work but needed pop forgotten sands nocd and replace files in ubisoft game launcher folder, run but characters not visible and is more slow compared to win
I trying running game from official starter, and i trying use unofficial server emulator (this wont run) and game send me message - Ubisoft servers are down.
i think if sites ubisoft work, servers must be work.
****protections , i hate it !!
if game have label "PC-GAME" - it must be running on ANY OPERATING SYSTEM!
without these problems. or it is NO PC-game.
Game Launcher
by app_slacker on Tuesday April 20th 2010, 9:24
You can get to the GUI part of the launcher process by adding some command line switches. The core binary will pass these values on to the Ubilauncher proxy instance. It seems to expect:
So passing "wine AssassinsCreedIIGame.exe -prodid 4 -gameversion 2 -orbitcookie foo" will sucessfully get you connecting to the DRM servers. After retrieving the update list, the game launches, but makes a malcrafted dns request in the form of - [A? static3.cdn.ubi.com/orbit]. This is unresolvable as a legit dns lookup, at which point the launcher kicks you back to a GUI screen informing you that the Ubisoft master servers are unavialable.
It was entertaining to peek under the hood of the DRM server connections, but that is about as far as I could get.
