What works
Almost everything, install need Wine is windows 95 mode as the previous tester already said.
What does not
Cinematics freeze after a amount of time, then the player has to press a mouse button to skip cinematic. Also the game has some sounds missing, probably due to the major Wine sound regression

I stopped testing using PlayonLinux, since it sometimes gave me different results than running plain Wine.
It seems like the mouse-centre issue only affects the game if you're playing in Hi-Res mode. With a little patience (no, not patients), while in the game, you can set the option in the Display menu to enable "MCGA Lo-Res". It's ugly, but it works.
