The test results you have selected are very old and may not represent the current state of Wine.
Selected Test Results (selected in 'Test Results' table below)
What works
Program installs and runs. With msxml4 installed, it allows you to roll over details from last years file and enter tax information, as far as I have tested so far.
What does not
Verifying your identity fails with "1030: A problem has occurred. Please Try again. (Code:8818)"
The bundled help file viewer does not show the files. Help files are in html format, with javascript functions. They are viewable, to some extent, using a web browser, from ../etax2010/help/.
What was not tested
Only filling in some income items was tested. Lodgement cannot be tested until verification works. Printing was not tested, but should work.
Additional Comments
You need to install msxml4.
Verification, prefilling and lodgement will need to be one on a windows installation.

eTax 2011 still broken (Wine 1.2.2, Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx)
by Philip Machanick on Thursday September 8th 2011, 3:27
I opened a saved file and it views and prints OK (with some font glitches) but help is still broken, and accessing the network e.g. for updates doesn't work (though that is also broken on Windows on my network, since the eTax software doesn't grok proxies). So could be an option if you don't need NW services like prefilling to fill in the form and print it (or copy to Windows machine just to submit).
