Slow Downloads

Everything in this application works, but I get extremely slow download speeds when connecting to the autopatcher. Does anybody else have a workaround for this problem?

Using LinuxMint 10 and the last WINE, but I get the same issue in every linux OS and WINE version I've tried.

I cannot get past the splash screen. Any ideas? Do I need to install some stuff on winetricks?
