Kyle has mentioned that you must use Winetricks' WMP9 to alleviate it needing WMVCore.dll. He also claims it is still saying it needs QtBrowser.dll for him, but appears to function okay without it.

X11

Found this out on the forums. The reason the render window is separated like that is due to a restriction in X11 that prevents other controls from being attached to the window. This was a change made by Chrispeg to get AW to run on Mac OS X through WINE using hardware acceleration.

QtBrowser.dll
by Kyle Towns on Friday June 17th 2011, 11:08
I contacted ActiveWorlds about the missing QtBrowser.dll, and they've told me that its available here - objects.activeworlds.com/downloads/qtbrowser.dll

This .dll appears to control the graphics interfaces, because after installing it (stick it in your ActiveWorlds directory) I have additional lighting effects and *greatly* improved frames per second.

If you're going to test ActiveWorlds I strongly recommend downloading this.

QtBrowser "..is not part of the generic AW download as the dll file is over 18 megs."
