Additional Comments
I've downloaded both the web-installer and the offline-installer. Both get stuck at the same point. They cannot go further than the installation screen (selecting what to install).
Windows Live Essentials 2011 installer doesn't show any options on the first screen (support for BCM_GETIDEALSIZE needed, ideal width and height for a specified button)
No improvements for wlm in wine v1.3.34
by Joerg Schiermeier on Saturday December 10th 2011, 20:22
Sadly it is still not possible to install wlm, the windows live messenger. The unattended installation as described above ends without doing something, and the installation via GUI also isn't possible because of missing anything inside the install-GUI.
Sadly until now (wine v1.3.31) this doesn't work. There was an improvement to solve this problem, but it isn't finished (see bugfixes for v1.3.31: www.winehq.org/announce/1.3.31)
