No improvements for wlm in wine v1.3.34
by Joerg Schiermeier on Saturday December 10th 2011, 20:22
Sadly it is still not possible to install wlm, the windows live messenger. The unattended installation as described above ends without doing something, and the installation via GUI also isn't possible because of missing anything inside the install-GUI.

Easy way to prepare installation
by Joerg Schiermeier on Friday October 28th 2011, 9:06
1.) Download the offline installer from: windowslivehelp.com/solution.aspx?solutionid=61168194-26aa-4ce6-910a-aeb36fc89d17
2.) Use the commandline terms as seen here: www.appdeploy.com/packages/detail.asp?id=1954 section: 'Commandlines' e.g.:

wlsetup-all.exe /q /AppSelect:messenger /Nolaunch /NOToolbarCEIP /noSearch /noMU

Sadly until now (wine v1.3.31) this doesn't work. There was an improvement to solve this problem, but it isn't finished (see bugfixes for v1.3.31: www.winehq.org/announce/1.3.31)
