The test results you have selected are very old and may not represent the current state of Wine.
Selected Test Results (selected in 'Test Results' table below)
What works
Everything, but I played only several minutes.
What does not
Cursor invisible until set "Hardware cursor" to "Off" in game "Settings" > "Interface".
Impossible to use GPU physics acceleration in "Settings" > "Physics".
What was not tested
All game except prologue
Additional Comments
To hear sounds I set "Hardware acceleration" in winecfg's Audio tab to "Emulation". No sounds at all with "Full" acceleration on my system.
Low FPS on my system (Intel QX9770, GTX280, 4GB RAM). Even mouse cursor moves with some lag.
Game starts to work without installing/overiding any libraries (PhysX was installed during game install process).
"winetricks physx" didn't make any noticable changes in game performance.
i see only splash screen and some like this
randomly displays error message or not displays it
all requirements seems to be normal
installed EVEN .NET 4.0 (!) - witcher II works in XP mode (!)
i have torrent with my system backup if anyone want to test

Now runs smoothly
by Kol on Sunday September 4th 2011, 2:47
Now, under Wine 1.3.27, Two Worlds II (version 1.0) runs smoothly
even at highest graphics and physics settings, except shadows
(motion blur and HDR are also turned off) and resolution 1024x768
on the system with Athlon 64x2 3GHz and GeForce 8800GT. Sound
works both in game and in video with Audio Hardware Acceleration
set to "Full", but the "Video HD" game option must be disabled.
I also note that the game uses native "d3dx9_42.dll", if available,
not "d3dx9_36.dll".
Sound
by Samuel Nelson on Wednesday February 2nd 2011, 23:57
Separate from the performance issues, we also have a little issue with sound; namely, that in-game sound only works when set to emulation, whereas prerendered cutscene sound only works when set to full acceleration.
Playing at 640x480 kinda sucks, but at least it's playable. I mean, for some reason, once it hits that resolution, it's pretty darned snappy. But having to save before each pre-rendered cutscene, exit the game, change to full hardware acceleration for sound, start the game again, watch the cutscene, exit, change back to emulation, and start it back up again? That's less acceptable.
Resolution

It seems that Two Worlds II runs great (with sound acceleration set to emulation) except that resolution destroys performance. That's the main thing that -safemode does - it runs the game at 640x480. I get halfway decent performance (15ish fps) at 1024x768, but can't even navigate the menus at 2304x1440.
I'm going to play with some settings and see if I can't get it to perform better at higher resolutions.

parameter -safemode
by Michael on Sunday January 2nd 2011, 12:33
Starting the game with the parameter "-safemode" makes the game a little bit faster. There's just a simple menu in safe mode. You can change graphic settings in safe mode. Sound is not working!
