Crash At Level Load

I've been able to get Shatter running, but it seems to die during the first level load (or when progressing to a new world) about 9 out of 10 times (regardless of whether I'm using esound or alsa - the error text suggests it's a video related problem rather than sound). Interestingly, the intro cutscene for the first world always plays fine.
I'm interested to know if others are getting the same output:
