Rollcage Stage II is the sequel to Rollcage. As in the original, it features awesome cars that can drive anyway up, at extreme speeds with a full-on explosive arsenal. Like any sequel it has more of everything... more cars, more tracks and more game modes.
Old test results
The test results you have selected are very old and may not represent the current state of Wine.
Selected Test Results (selected in 'Test Results' table below)
What works
Glide mode works perfectly. No artifacts, no graphical bugs whatsoever. No sound glitches either.
NOTE: In order to get Glide mode working, read the extra comments section below.
What does not
D3D mode. Although it works, it does so very badly - these huge annoying black squares keep appearing instead of banners, smoke, etc, which makes the game barely playable.
What was not tested
Multiplayer.
Additional Comments
In order to get Glide mode working, you need to get zeckensack's Glide wrapper here: http://www.zeckensack.de/glide/index.html
Then, install it on your WINE drive. Run it, and tweak it so it fits your needs by running configurator.exe on the program install directory. If you are unsure of what to do with all of those options, just try mine:
Texture memory: 16 MB
Resolution: Try high res
Refresh rate: don't care
Vertical sync: (default)
Mipmapping: Generate mipmaps
Lod bias: (untouched)
Anisotropy: 8x
Gamma: (whatever)
Limit feature set: Most fancy shaders
Render to: (default)
Thread policy: Use render thread
If they don't work or you just don't care, just leave them at their default values.
Finally, just run Rollcage Glide.exe on the /BIN subdirectory.
Hope this helps.
